    Brain Tumour Awareness and Headsmart

No doubt the biggest challenge in Isabelle's journey was for the medical profession to accept that Isabelle had a problem with her brain.

Isabelle was 2 years old when diagnosed and at the time was unable to explain how she was feeling but she was experiencing unsteadiness on her feet and violent vomiting when waking in a morning.

After several hospital admissions where diagnosis ranged from ear infection to tonsillitis, the professionals took things seriously when after having an eye examination by Isabelle's godfather who is an optician, pressure was identified behind her eyes and a CT Scan was ordered leading to the diagnosis of a Brain Tumour and Isabelle's journey began.

Headsmart is a charity linked to the Brain Tumour Charity which lobbies to raise awareness of Brain Tumours in Children and young adults.

Isabelle's mummy Rebecca is an Ambassador for Headsmart and through her profession has given presentations to health professions.
